Lead Devops/Cloud Architect

As a DevOps Lead and AWS Cloud Architect you’ll own the next-gen cloud architecture, infrastructure, and derived operations. You’ll find yourself participating in various projects, from new builds and migrations, to audits and big data. You will provide expertise and leadership regarding Cloud Architecture for infrastructure, products, services and applications. You will assist in the business case and design of Enterprise cloud solutions and provide hands-on technical lead for implementations of cloud solutions. This role is in support of our transformation to a modern software and innovation delivery department and will have impacts across several key strategic products and services within Transdev.

Responsibilities

You have experience in all aspects of cloud computing (e.g., infrastructure, storage, platforms and data
You are familiar with standard IT security practices such as encryption, certificates and key management
You have the knowledge of current infrastructure automation & continuous integration/deployment and in-depth knowledge of networking, and cloud-based delivery models
Strategize, design and lead implementation of best-in-class technologies and operational procedures, including development and constant betterment of tooling
Deliver highly available and high-performance platforms; ensure five nines uptime
Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of server systems, and developing and organizing operational SLAs
Drive continual process improvement and own performance visibility
Work closely with the departments Product Management and Service Delivery to discover upcoming application changes to drive effective planning, optimal infrastructure utilization, and a highly secure network and compute environment, understand application needs regarding scalability, availability and security, then support the process of infra design and CI/CD for applications on the cloud
Serve as a key interface with the various technology organizations
Removing impediments, providing support, and generally being a good leader for those around you
Empower the staff to be accountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.

Requirements

Experience working with deployment and orchestration technologies (such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, CircleCI) and with the various data persistence layers, relational and NoSQL DBMS
Hands-On experience in software development in one or more languages such as Python, NodeJS, .Net core or similar, software design
Working experience with agile implementation methodologies, strong interpersonal and presentation skills including the ability to prepare and present effective technical and business presentations appropriate for the audience
Proven senior track record with engineering and leading complex mission-critical apps on AWS
Experience with building Data Management Platforms, Data Lake and analytical products on AWS
Demonstrable expertise around specifying, designing, and implementing cloud management, system health, performance monitoring tools, and software management tools
Reducing costs and expenditures for cloud assets.
