Attracting Talent, the Venquis Way
Netcompany approached Venquis with an issue: they required software engineers with three to five years’ experience working with Java and C# – but so did their competitors. With competition looking for the exact same skillset, Netcompany were finding it challenging to attract talent. Many of the candidates being interviewed by Netcompany were already in multiple interview processes, and in some cases, had numerous offers on the table from other companies.
Understanding the needs of our client, Venquis created a model to attract talent to Netcompany. We did this by creating talent pools of candidates based on various factors, including years of experience using languages such as Java, C# and JavaScript. These talent pools were nurtured, contacted, and where necessary revisited over a 12-month period.
Motivation became a central part of the Venquis process. We worked with candidates to get some insight into their experience and previous projects they’ve worked on to ensure any candidates we presented Netcompany were being provided with an opportunity that would align with their career aspirations, as well as Netcompany’s commercial goals.
Delivering Talent-Driven Transformation
Our Nordics delivery team, in line with the Venquis process and Netcompany’s internal talent acquisition team, quickly identified passive candidates and took them through our thorough qualification process, ensuring that candidates had the necessary experience and skillsets Netcompany were looking for.
Within six weeks, we had a talent pool consisting of 3,000 candidates, which grew to over 10,000 in a few months. In August 2022, we placed seven candidates and within the year, two of our Venquis Candidate Partners placed 30 candidates with Netcompany, showcasing, not only the quality of candidates in our database, but also that the Venquis approach works – particularly when working with companies who have a clear hierarchy. Within the first 12 months, we were able to see our placements progress from Senior Consultants to Project Architects and Managers within the company.
